Perhaps, when we' are puazled and worried about our Christmas ^fts, we may not be wholly unselfish our selves, or we may be striving to feive to him that hath. It you are doubtful about the appreciation your little ||ft may receive try giving it to someOne more needy, and the doubt will quick ly vanish. Oftentimes the ^fts most easily selected and bestowed express the truest spirit of giving. Cease to give when it becomes a task, for it Is Not what we give, but what we share. For the gift ^thout the giver Is bare. Is there a Santa Claus? The Ger man named Krist Kindlein, Christ child, finally became corrupted into Kriss Kringle, a being now identified with Santa Claus. Since Christmas symbolizes the birth of the Christ child what a griev ous custom it is to make the contrac tion Xmas stand for all that is so good and beautiful.
