Among other things, it was decided
to make an effort to free all fairs
held in the State from objection
able features, by invoking the laws
providing against: such. It: is an
nounced that special stress will ; be
iaia on special iairs in me raiure,
that is, fairs which will be devoted
largely to one prod net or one kind
of agricdl tural 'exhibits, sucfi as
corn shows fruit shows, dairy pro
ducts and poultry as well as live
stock fairs., ; . : I v " v'
' The aid ;of woman's clubs and
other civic organizations will be
enlisted in: the effort of the com
mittee to clean ap-the. fairs, for it
is. believed the best element of the
State's population is more inters ted
in seeing great fairs exhibiting the
agricultural' and industrial growth
of- the State than -in watching a
