Johnson, of Vir ginia, will hold a series of meetings at St. John's Episcopal church, be ginning November 28. Mrs. Emily Smith and daughter, Miss Martha, of Newark, Dela., ar rived last week to spend the winter with the former's son, W. C. Smith. There will be services at St. John's Epicopal church on Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 25, at 11 o'clock a. m. Offering for Thompson Orphanage, Charlotte, N. C. Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Pless have gone to Tate's Springs, Tenn., where Mr. Pless is recuperating from his injuries received in the railroad wreck near Burnsville recently. The Woman's Club will meet with Mrs. F. B.
