Systematic housekeepers post on attic or closet doors a list of articl es stored in bags, boxes, or certain closets. Some also label each trunk, box, and bag with its contents. Any device which helps the housekeeper and her family know where posses sions are at a moment's notice mak es for good management. A tested recipe for pecan: Pecan pie will appear on dinner tables the country over this fall and early winter when pecans will be in good supply on markets, especially in sections of the State where pecans are grown. Here is a tested pecan pie re cipe from food specialists: Ingred ients: 1 cup pecan kernels; 3 eg£s; 1-2 cup melted table fat. To make: Beat the eggs, add sugar and sirup, -then salt and vanilla, and last the melted fat. Place the pecans in the bottom of an unbaked pie crust. Add the filling and bake slowly in a moderate oven (350 degrees F.) for 50 to 60 minutes. The nuts will; -rise to the top of the pie filling and form a crusted layer. When not being worn, gloves ■should be folded up into a ball and crammed into a purse or pocket, i They should be smoothed out and; folded, not in half, but at the base | of the fingers. This will keep the j ■creases away from the body of the j glove and help prevent cracking of j the leather in the palm or over the j back of the hand.
