We proudly announce that our employees have con § tributed an average of one day's pay to help build our County's New Hospital. The local organization is under the third army and part of a nationwide reserve corps pro gram. All persons assigned to this bat tery receive a full day's pay for each meeting they attend. Meetings are held the first and third Thurs days of each month in the city hall. Retirement points for each meet ing attended count for retirement pay for any reservist who has put in 20 good years in the reserve and is past the age of 60. Uniforms will be furnished to all enlisted personnel by the govern ment, free of charge. Officers will have to purchase all uniforms through quartermaster sales of the U. S. ai-my. The next meeting will be held December 19. An invitation is ex tended to any interested persons, whether they have served in the armed forces or not, to attend the meeting and learn the purpose of the organization.
