Guests were her niece, Mrs. Ralph Burnett of Graham and her daughters, Mrs. James Wright and Mrs. Gladys Thomas of Pittsboro;, also Mrs. John Atkinson of Graham. Mrs. Pace was able, to welcome her guests cordially despite her infir mity and loss of sight. The Senior Class sponsored a most enjoyable bridge benefit party on Thursday evening of last week at the Community Club at eight o'clock. Upon arrival of the guests the hostesses served an iced course with out and were cookies and coffee, carrying the Easter motif in tallies decorations. Spring flowers used to decorate the club. Junior-Senior Gala Tomorrow Night Invitations have been issued the Junior-Senior banquet for and dance to be held at the Commun ity Club on Friday evening, April 15th. Miss Retha Watts, Junior class sponsor and members of the junior class are busy at work this week making preparations for the social event of the school year. A "Dutch Garden” theme will be used at the banquet which will be prepared by the Home Economics Department and served at 7:00 p. m., followed by the dance. Music for dancing will be furnshed by an orchestra from the Laurinburg Institute. Miss Eleanor Britt, Miss Betty Evans and Miss Ann McLeod are on the decorating committee and other committees have been appointed. McKinnon, were in charge of preparations for the party. On Friday evening, the senior class staged a dance at the school gymnasium for members of the teen-age set and guests. Music for dancing was furnished by records and spring flowers used for decor ations. Admission was charged and home on South Main street.
