PINEHURST is a unique town in the Southland apparently a Yankee village dropped down in the woods. It is located in Moore County, North Carolina, in the well-known sand belt, and among the health-giving long-leaf pines. It is six miles from Southern Pines, 70 miles southwest of Raleigh, and 125 miles from the sea coast. It is elevated 650 feet above the sea level, and is noted for its healthfulness.
