Winner of the Annual Consolation
Tournament.
Mrs. Byrnes was the winner of the
Women's cup in the Annual Consolation
Tournament, defeating Miss S. A. Cutler
of Newton, Mass., in the final round,
three up and one to play.
Mrs. Byrnes has been playing golf
only since coming here in January. Her
game has improved very rapidly and
gives promise of future achievements.
Then and Xow.
How changed it is from our boyhood days,
For, quick as the dusk grew dark,
We went to bed with the chickens then
And rose with the morning lark.
But now by the time we lay us down
In Morpheus's arms to rock,
We go to bed with the small hot bird
And rise with the cuckoo clock!
