At the annual meeting of the Pine hurst Golf Club November 8, the follow ing officers were elected: President, Leonard Tufts, Boston; Treasurer, Thomas B. Cotter, Winchester, Mass.; Secretary, Herbert L. Jillson, Worcester, Mass.; Governors, John B. McDonald Frank Presbrey, New York City ; Geo. Dutton, Harry Dutton, Alexander Mc Gregor, Boston; J. Henry Hentz, Jr., Philadelphia; A. E. Lard, Washington ; H. W. Priest, Franconia, N. H. ; A. I. Creamer, Damariscotta, Maine. It was voted to change the Club colors from green and white to green and red. Satisfactory reports concerning work on the courses during the summer were received and plans for the annual mid winter tournament were discussed. 11ATTJLIXCJ SPOllT. Karl j Uunter find Quail Abundant and Make Good JIag-s. Among the first to enjoy this season's quail shooting are Mr. and Mrs. Julian Day of New York City. On their first trip they secured nine quail and a wood cock, and on the second twenty quail. They report an abundance of birds, with the coveys large and numerous. A Seautiful Booklet. A new Booklet on Pinehurst is now ready for distribution, and it ranks as one of the most attractive of the many beautiful publications issued by the Management. The cover is a dainty creation of cream and gold, and the special feature of the book is half page color reproductions depicting the sports and social pleasures of the Village. These Booklets may be had on applica tion at the Pinehurst General Office. DIl. CIlOCItETX IlETUllXS. Will lie JLocated Here as Resident House Physician. Dr. and Mrs. Montgomery A. Crockett of Buffalo, N. Y., who spent the season of 1902-3 here, will return for the present season, and their many friends will wel come the announcement with pleasure. Dr. Crockett is a general practitioner of wide experience, one of the staff of instructors in the Medical Department of The University of Buffalo, and on the at tending staff of two large hospitals. He is also a liberal contributor to the Med ical Press and an author of several books upon medical subjects. He.will be locat ed at The Harvard previous to the open ing of The Carolina and will probably also have an office at The Berkshire. Mrs. Crockett is a general favorite and an active figure in social life. A FIlEQUfNT VISITOll. John II. McDonald of Subway JFame a Pinehurst Admirer. Just at present the New York Subway and those who have been connected with the wonderful undertaking, is much be fore the public eye, and it will be inter esting .to note the fact that John B. Mo Donald, the contractor who did this work, is an ardent admirer of Pinehurst and a frequent visitor. Mr. McDonald finds in Pinehurst's glorious air, bright sunshine and oppor tunities for outdoor enjoyment the neces sary relaxation for a strenuous life and spends much time here each season.
