The week has brought a number of ar rivals, and more will come during the course of the next ten days, among them many old friends who will make long visits. THANKSGIVING DAY. The first guest to register was Mr. F. W. Kenyon, of New York, of "Tin Whistle' fame, and he will probably be one of the last to leave in the Spring. Next in order was the distinguished secretary-chaplain-historian, of the same club, Mr. A. G. Warren, of Rochester, N. Y. Mr, and Mrs. T. A. Sheffield, of Larch mont, N. Y., and Miss A. M. Anderton, of New York, are here to remain through December. Mr. and Mrs. W. Edw. Scott, of Tort land, Maine, are among the guests. Mrs. Scott will remain through the winter but Mr. Scott's business will call him home shortly, lie hopes, however, to return later on. Mr. Boyd Decker, Mr. Charles A. Shafer and Mr. Horace li. Day, of New York, are here to enjoy the shooting. Mr. F. M. Lupton and Mr. W. M. Taylor, of New York, make up another party of sportsmen. Mr O. H. Blackmail, of New York, is here for a two weeks stay and a return visit. Dr. J. H. Packard, of Philadelphia, returns for the winter. Col. and Mrs. li. S. Ashby and Master Ashby, of Passaic, N. The seasons program of golf tourna ments was pleasantly begun Thanksgiving day, with an eighteen hole medal plajr handicap in which Charles Hansel, of Rochester, N. Y., was the winner. Warren, of the Pinehurst Schools has secured as assist ant for the eomiug season Miss Eliza beth Macfarlane of Troy, N.
