I HE observation party at The Holly Inn Tuesday, proved a delightfully novel evening for a large party which' included many of the Villagers, :md ;in hour was pleasantly spent in figuring out the problems presented. In the centre of the Dutch room some sixty difl'erent subjects were arranged and each numbered and the guests were given a limited time to guess what they represented. The prize winners were Mrs. .1. A number of the guests at The Holly Inn enjoyed an old fashioned candy pull in the big kitchen of the hotel recently. Dressed for the occasion in big aprons, it was a jolly party from the time the candy was given out in big warm lumps, until it was pulled white and hard. ACII succeeding week adds to the interest in Target Pistol Shooting and adds new faces to those who are taking part in the various tourna ments. Many women are now included among the members and are manifesting great interest in the sport. Friday's shoot, twenty-five shots at 50 yards, developed a pretty contest between John Ilafner and Dr. George S. Hill, Hafner winning with 225 to his oppo nents 216. Tuesday's contest was the first of the winter's stated program, arranged by and for Sterling trophies offered by the Man agement. . The field of participants was the largest of the season and included many new members. The trophy offered for the best net score went to J. R.
