One of the pleasing features of the Advertising Tournament was the manner in which it was formally begun, follow ing a custom inaugurated at Cleveland, and which has been in vogue at historic St. Andrews since time immemorial. Promptly at eight-thirty, the hour set for starting, President Frank Presbrey drove the first ball of the contest, a group of something like a hundred and fifty caddies being in waiting on the two hun dred yard line, a lively scramble which could only be duplicated in the Southland, following; the possession of the ball meaning a five dollar gold piece. This ball will be marked and retained by the association as a souvenir. Am IB , mm TOURISTS. Always Drink POLAND WATER IT ASSURES HEALTH IN ALL CLIMATES. IT IS VITALLY IMPORTANT FOR ALL TRAVELERS.
