The list of arrivals at the The Car
olina includes old and new friends, who
are finding congenial associations and
much joy in life. Bridge whist is pop
ular as ever, dancing is much enjoyed
and numerous semi-formal social func
tions are pleasant diversions.
AMONG THE GUESTS.
Among old friends who return are Mr. and
Mrs. E. J. Wardwell and their son, Mr. L. E
Ward well, Camden, Me., who are here for their
second season. The Wardwells are enthusiasts
over sports out of doors and have hosts of warm
friends in the Village.
Mr. and Mrs. Stephen B. Ayres, New York, re
turn for golf and will remain several weeks
Mrs. Ayers is a charming woman who is making
many pleasant acquaintances.
Mr. and Mrs. Thos. II. White and Miss Ella
White, Cleveland, will remain several weeks.
Mr. F. A. O. Schwarz and Miss Ida Schwarz,
New York, are making a short visit.
Mrs. G. A. Wilson and Mrs. S. G. Evans, New
York, will remain through February.
Mr. and Mrs. Andrew D. Baird, Brooklyn, will
spend several weeks here.
Mr. L. M. Greer, New York, will spend Febru
