The mixed doubles tennis tournament
for the St. Patrick's day cups resulted in
an interesting contest, E. R. Perkins and
Miss Fenno winning the finals from C.
H. Schoffand Mrs. E. G. Auckland.
In the semi-finals Mr. Perkins and Miss
Fenno defeated L. P. Disbrow and Miss
Merrill, and Mr. Schoffand Mrs. Buckland
C. II. Johnson and Miss Dexter.

$, "In the Land of Cotton" will open the
program promptly at eight-thirty o'clock,
each evening. The first part will include
songs, solos, sketches and instrumental
selections, the closing number being the
"Helen-Hunt two step," dedicated to the
golfers of Pinehurst ; a cornet solo with
accompaniment by the "Smoke Brass
Band."
The second part will be a one-act farce,
"The Baby Elephant," replete with local
hits and ludicrous situations. The com
bined entertainment will be something
no one should miss.
The company will include some twenty
five undiscovered stars, comets and sat
ellites, with Interlocutor P. J. Ward, at
the head. The bones will be William
White, William Murphy, James McNab,
William Wilder ;tambos, Charles Baxter,
Henry Carroll, Ed. Ellis, William Hill.
