Sinners at Virginia Beach. '
Virginia Beach, Va., March 26
Several very pleasant dinners were the
features of the week, and which well il
lustrate the cordial good fellowship
which exists among the guests here.
Among the most novel of these fea
tures was an "oyster roast'' given by Mr.
M. C. Conner of New, York, in honor of
Miss Lillian Groves, at Cape Henry.
After lunching the party visited the sand
hills1 light house and wireless station,
returning to the hotel to witness a mock
marriage between Dr. 1. K. Gray bill,
alias Mr. P. K. Buckshot, and Miss Patti
Warren, alias Mrs. Mary Louise Long
acres. Following the ceremony the party
were entertained at dinner by Mr. James
P. Groves, after which adjournment was
made to the ball room which had, in the
interval, been transformed into a mock
court room.
On Tuesday Miss Christine Groves
gave a dinner of fourtcencovers in honor
of Miss Henrietta Crawford of Moutclair,
and on Wednesday Judge M. C. Mcintosh
of Chicago, entertained Miss Carrie Allen
of Norfolk, and Mrs. lieginald Spraguc
