Favors were distributed among all participants, and the novelty of the style of play proved most entertaining. Col. J. W. Gailbert of Louisville, Ky., carried off the honors of the evening for the highest score. An old fashioned dance in honor Of Mr. and Mrs. Edward W. Stifel and party who are leaving shortly after a month here, provided a merry evening Thurs day. Round and square dances were happily combined, and the participants entered into the spirit of the occasion with a zest which was contagious. AMONG THE GUESTS. Mrs. J. A. Cummings and Miss M. A. Cummings of New York, are here for a long sojourn, both welcome additions to the social circle. Mrs. William C.Durant and Miss Laura Durant of Flint, Mich., will remain sonie weeks. Mr. and Mrs. C. A. McFeely of Pitts burg, are spending several weeks here. Mr. and Mrs. T. S. Lippy of Seattle, pleasure. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Lord of Montclair, and Mr. and Mrs. Clifton A. E. Merritt were among Wednesday's arrivals. Mr. Ernest J. Spauldingof Burlington, Vt., returns for golf and is welcomed by many former acquaintances. Mr. Jay V. Hall of Pittsburg, whose visit two years ago is pleasantly remem bered, returns for a long sojourn and will divide his time between golf and quail shooting. Mr. E. Norman of New York, is making a ten days yisit. Monkey Golf Todaj. A ball sweepstakes monkey golf tour nament is booked for today and in which a number of teams will participate. The round will start at two r. m. and a big gallery will follow the fun; Needlework at The Inn, An exhibition of choice needlework, suitable for wedding gifts and Christmas presents, is attracting attention in the exhibition room of The Holly Inn.
