PAGE THE" PINEHURST OUTLOOK 3 Ilf MEW FOKM, rinhurst' Famous Golf lad Again Greets Old Friends. Pinehurst's famous color golf poster, "The Links are Open" lad, appears in new form this season, the youngster posing on the pond hole bridge in the act of fish ing out a ball from the water. Someone has evidently just spoken to the lad and he is looking up with the "expression that won't come off," an ex pression which baffles pen reproduction and which causes all who look upon it to smile. . . It is doubtful if anything of the kind has ever attracted a similar amount of at tention, and this season's posters are varied in form, the most unique being a calendar containing in red ink, the dates of the various tournaments of the sea son's schedule. nn. stiffiys Binmoii, Observance of It is Delightful Feature of Week at The Inn. A' delightful feature of the week at The Inn was the observance of the birth day anniversary of Mr. Edward Stifel of Wheeling. At evening there was a merry private dinner for the family, and at ten o'clock a gathering in the Dutch Room at which nearly two score of friends were present. Mr. and Mrs. Stifel are leaving for home during the coming week after amonth here, much to the regret of many ac quaintances both in the hotel and out, for they have been active figures in sports and social pleasures. PISTOL I1UTT8 MOVED. Hew location If ear Trap Ground Admirable In Every Way. Work upon construction of target pistol butts in the close vicinity of the trap shooting grounds is well under way and the change will be appreciated by lovers of this sport. Not only is the location admirable in every way, but easily acces sible by road, ride or drive. Targets, ammunition and pistols will be in the hands of the trap shooting grounds attendant, a convenience which will be greatly appreciated and do away with . the objectionable features of the former method. JSIIOOT ASY TIME YOU IIKE. Attendant at Trap Shooting- Ground Makes This Possible. Arrangements have been made whereby an attendant is located at the trap shoot ing grounds, daily from 9 A. m. until dusk, with the exception of the noon hour. This !will make it possible for trap shooters to shoot at any time they desire and without notifying the General Office. Ammunition and a gun, in case the latter is desired, will be found at the traps. PLANNING FOR CHRISTMAS Yillagi HaU Trees Will Bring Holiday Joys Into Many Homes.
