HE interest in bowling continues keen, team matches interesting: both participants and on lookers, with rivalry for the weekly high strings total brisk among the large number who frequent the alleys. Other similar contests ' are planned with the revival of the old-time league and its Village championship series very probable. In addition to the Village and Holly Inn teams, already formed, The Carolina will make up a team, and there is a possibility of one representing the guests. MATINEE BOWLING. Matinee bowling is interesting an in creasing number of women, and many guests are availing themselves of the opportunity to reserve the alleys for private parties afternoon or evening, upon due notice. One of the good strings of the week was a one hundred and fifty-one total made by Miss Anne Hay. Whistle Championship. Eighteen-hole qualification round, with gold medal for best score. Silver cup for winner of first sixteen and gold medal for runner-up. Gold medal for winner of consolation, first sixteen. Gold medal for winner and silver medal for runner-up of second sixteen. Trap shooting is . occupying increasing attention with the coming of the New Year, indicative of great popularity from now on. One of the friendly contests of the week was an informal shoot between Frank Presbrey, It. C. Wilson, Henry Dreher and M. C. Smith, Mr. Presbrey winning with a margin of two targets and a score of 1G, with Mr. Wilson and Mr. Dreher tied at 14, and Mr. Smith third in 12.
