PLANS FOR CHRISTMAS WEEK Dinners, Dancing and Merrymaking Will Round Out Holidays, Usual Tree for Children of Vicinity Will he the Centre of Interest. LANS for a fitting; ob servance of Christmas are occupying the atten tion of the Village and the entire week will be one of dinners, dancing and merrymaking, with interest centred upon the usual Christmas trees for the tree will be present both evenings. Rumor has it that this Santa Claus (there are, of course, more than one) still travels with reindeers of the pegasus va riety ; the dear old ranta Claus of fiction whose smile is a benediction and whose heart is overflowing' with loving interest in little folks. As usual the tree for colored children will be enjoyed by all of the Village guests, but iuvjtaiions will not be ex tended to outsiders to attend the tree for white children. Funds are being solicited by subscrip tion with papers being circulated among the cottagers and at the hotels and the response has thus early been gratifying. In view of the fact that something more than two hundred dollars will be neces sary, liberal additional contributions will be necessary on the part of hotel guests. "IN THIS THE LAND OF HOLLY AND MISTLETOE.'1 white and colored children of the vicinity to be held Monday and Tuesday evenings of the week following in the dining room of The Harvard. Details of arrangement are in the hands of the following committees who will select their own assistants : Purchasing of presents : white children, Mrs. Lucy P. C. Richards; colored children, Mrs. F. C. McNeil ; candy and oranges, Mrs. G. Dan Morgan ; collection of contribu tions, Mrs. II. W. Ormsbee ; decorations, Mrs. P. J. Ward; entertainment, Miss Anne Hay ; invitations, Mrs. W. C. Peet. The program will be much the same as in the past, a monster Christmas tree of holly, radiant with garlands of pop corn, cranberries and tinsel and vari-colored electric lights. Santa Claus has posi tively promised to stop oft on his way North and owing to the late date of the Contributions may be left with Mrs. H. V. Ormsbee at the Hale cottage or at The Holly Inn desk. Sunday livening-' Concert. The usual Sunday evening concert at The Holly Inn was enjoyed by many of the Villagers, its special feature being a cornet solo by Mr. F. G. llaweon.
