PECIAL attention is call
ed to the half tone repro
duction of a moonlight
photograph taken by Mr.
Tyler L. Redfleld, which
appears in connection
with this article, the picture slaying the
"Dartmouth'', the private residence of
Mr. Gilbert N. McMillan, with the
camera located directly in front of the
Plymouth, where Mr. Redfleld is spend
ing the winter.
The picture was made upon the night
of the third of February when the moon
was at its full and the exposure of one
hour's duration, from nine to ten. An
especially novel feature is the effect pro
duced by the electric 'porch light and the
light in the rear window. But for these
one might be led to believe that the pic
ture was taken in the day time. The
camera used was a folding kodak with a
special lens.

- MR. REDFIELD'S REMARKABLE MOONLIGHT PHOTOGRAPH.
Mr. Redfleld is looking forward with
interest to future experiments in this
line and he anticipates even more suc
cessful results, believing that the condi
tions such as exist here are not to be
found elsewhere. Owing to the length
of exposure necessary the best results
are obtained when the moon is directly
overhead,thus avoiding moving shadows.
