many old friends who
come for the season as
well as newcomers who
plan long sojourns,
marking midseason's
commencement and maintaining hotel
housecounts at record figure?. Many of
the golfers will remain through the com
ing week so that tonight's departures
will make little change in the big com
pany which has made the week the
busiest and merriest of the season.
Socially the younger people of the
Village are popularizing the Wednesday
and Saturday evening hops at The Car
olina and the announcement of the re
newal of the Monday morning bridge
parties for women is received witli uni
versal pleasure. As far as the weather
itself it could not be more delightful,
sports and recreations in the open round
ing out the sunny days.
