Stone - and party in cluding Messrs. William Harrison, .li. T. Goodell and E. P. Alexander, spent a portion of the week here, en route to the North from Florida, by automobile. The journey from Augusta was made in twelve hours running time and Mr. Stone says could easily be accomplished in a day as they stopped over at not only Aiken but Columbia and Camden. Mr. Stone is much pleased with the Capital Highway roads of the later por tion of the journey referred to and pre dicts great popularity for winter touring. Protestant Services The Pinehurst Chapel under the direc tion of the Pinehurst Religious Associa tion, Rev. T. A, Cheatham, B. D., Minis ter in charge : Services every Sunday at 11 a. m., Holy Communion at 7 : 30 A. M., Sunday School at 3 : 30 P. m. Simons were hosts at a "Lift-the-Latch" supper for the younger set which proved one of the most enjoyable of the season's informal affairs.
