A. Cheatham E. T. MANSON" of the Framingham (Mass.) Country club, and E. A. Johnston of the Balti more Country club, di vided honors in the eighth annual Autumn Golf Tournament; the former winning the fin al match play round and the latter the qualification trophy. Drawn in opposite divisions of the bracket, the pair progressed to the final in which Mr. Manson defeated Mr. John ston six and four. In the semi-final Mr. Manson defeated G. B. Franklin of Phila delphia, five and four, in the second round, C. B. Hudson of the North Forth Coutryclub, one up, and in the first, J. B. Bowen of the Philadelphia Cricket club, two and one. Mr. Johnston's victories were all two and one; J. G. Nicholson of the New Bedford Country club, in the semi-final, Frank Nay of the Ridge Country club, in the second round and Rev. T. A. Cheat ham of Salisbury, N. C, in the first. Mr. Cheatham won the Consolation on the default of P. L. Lightbourn of the St. George's club, Bermuda. Mr. Johnston's eighty-four won the qualification trophy and Mr. Manson tied for second place with Mr. Lightbourn for second at ninety. Mr. Franklin made ninety-three, Mr. Hudson and Mr. Cum mings ninety-six each and Dr. Knight, Mr. Nicholson and Mr. Rathbone ninety eight each ; one hundred and seventeen making the limit of admission. the summary: The story of play is briefly told in the following qualification scores and match play summary : E.
