Heading the field with a total of two hundred and thirty-one, was W. C. Fownes, Jr., with rounds of seventy-five, seventy-five and eighty-one ; Henry C. Fownes second in two hundred and forty-two, his cards seventy-five, eighty-four and eighty three. N. S. Hurd whose handicap was twenty-seven, won the net score with two hundred and eighteen; W. II. Thayer whose allowance was twenty four, second in two hundred and twenty-three. The best gross for eighteen holes exclusive of the scores made by the Fownes', was seventy-six for Col. J. E.
