TRE.iT FOR M.USIC LOVEHi Charlotte Mimical Association An nouuceM Classic Program The music lovers of the Carolinas will have the opportunity of hearing some of the world's most famous stars this season through the efforts of the Charlotte Mu sical Association, a contract having just been signed for three concerts at; a cost of $6,000.00. They will present on December 31st, Ysaye, the great Belgian yiolinist, who is now receiving an ovation in the North, having only this month .'returned to America after an absence of several years. Appearing with him will be Mme. Olitzka, the Russian prima donna contralto, a member of the Metropolitan, Philadelphia and Chicago Opera; Com panies. She has a most extraordinary voice, big, rich and lovely, and has re ceived European decorations. On February 4th John McCormack, the Irish tenor, known in every home possessed of a Victor record, will be assisted by Miss Preston, lyric soprano. On April 12th, Genee, the marvelous dancer, with her corps de ballot and symphony orchestra of forty Jpieces is announced. In order to accommodate the large crowds which will want to attend these concerts, the big auditorium has been secured, with its seating capacity of 4,500. The Association thereby is able to sell season tickets for the three performances for $5.00, and single ad missions for $2 50.
