The nov elty was a table repro ducing in miniature the much-trapped seventeenth hole on the number two golf course; tee, bunkers, traps, putting green and background of trees with the sedge grass, a storm shel ter house and a stray pony. The favors were violet boutonnieres, typical of Spring days, and tiny rakes and picks, suggestive of the clubs best adapted to play the hole ! 1 Mr. and Mrs. George N. Towle of Boston were hosts at an elaborate Carolina spread for a group in cluding Mr. and Mrs. Parker W. Whitte- more, Mr. and Mrs. John C. Spring, Mr. and Mrs. William Merrill and Mrs. C. A.
