iapSK THE PINEHURST OUTLOOK DIXVILLE NOTCH NEW HAMPSHIRE THE BALSAMS. June to October ...- " mmSim- i.. tl. rirrniii imnw nnii i I THE "GLAD TO GET BACK" SMILE 11 AniLTOH'S m A ST Ell PIECE ZVIattadonic, Itlfgacuiilialic Kazoo Hand i Hi Very Special Only Own Mr. "Lew" Hamilton "presents" as one of the novelties of the adver tising golfers meeting, the Megacaphalic Mastagonic Kazoo band. There are "30 pieces" but multiply that by four and you'll get some idea of the enormity of this you, dear reader, select the right word. The first appearance was .upon the occasion of the arrival of the ' ' western delegation ' ' Sunday morning, and not since the day Cornwallis tied his horse to a scrub oak nearby, has old Moore County been so thoroughly aroused. ' ' Lew ' ' is not only drum major but composer and leader. Yes indeed, those "airs" are Leader Hamilton's very spec ial, only own! H No, they are not copy righted but don't worry about that. It costs a dollar to do this and money is scarce, f Drum Major Hamilton has long been a nature communer and he loves golf for golf's sake. This contribution, therefore, he feels is but a small tribute to art in which man's joy is always in his work. Briefly, Composer Hamilton has com bined in these, his masterpieces, nature's symphonies with just enough contrast to give them a Wagnerian character; morn 's faint matin chant, midday 's wild alarm, night's sweet requiem; the roar of town, the song of country; the glad ness of greeting, the pain of parting; every line throbbing with living, vibrant, -exultant life. H Pen can but suggest, Mr. Hamilton's compositions must be heard to be appreciated." The ensemble includes five drums and an equal number of fifes, "musical" gridirons, toasters, teapots, pans and so forth. Each member of the band is a soloist in his disregard for others; the uniform "Made in the United States" tam-o-shantas, and "glad to get back smiles ! Wonifn'ii Fours iiih a Novelty Women's foursomes proved a pleasing novelty of the advertising golf tourna ment with prizes for the best gross and net scores. One hundred and eight marked a tie for the net trophies between Mrs. Ormsbee and Mrs. Beck, Mrs. Hanna and Mrs. Jones. The gross trophy went to Mrs. Duryea and Mrs. Jillson, who recorded one hundred and sixteen. If The scores: Mrs. C. H." Hanna, Cleveland and Mrs. F. M. Jones, New York, 126 18108; Mrs. M. B.
