The Holly Inn is one of the most comfortable, attractive and popular hotels in
the South, caring for with its annexes 200 guests. The lobby has been en
larged since last season contributing greatly to the comfort of the guests.
There are a number of rooms connected with private baths which are let singly
or en suite. The hotel is heated throughout by steam and there are open fires in
the foyer and parlors. A large music room where daily concerts and dancing
are enjoyed, together with the attractive Dutch room and the billiard room, provide
appreciated social features. The excellent cuisine and service for which the hotel

FANCY DRESS BALL FRIDAY NEXT
For Friday evening next, March fifth,
a fancy dress ball is announced with all
of the trimmings which go to make up
an evening of anticipation and pleasant
memory. There will be decorations,
favors and a midnight supper, not to men
tion a consignment of New York costumes
from which you may select to your liking,
be it prince or peasant. If Mrs. Carl II.
Hanna of Cleveland heads the enthusi
astic committee which has the affair in
charge. The dance will be on a sub
scription and invitation basis and seats
will be reserved for those who contribute

1f The usual Monday morning card party
at The Carolina claimed a generous at
tendance, Mesdames Morse, Tesson, Hud
son, Holt, Newton and Marvin the prize
winners, and various inrormal dinners
have contributed to the interest of a week
which marks the commencement of mid
season 's floodtide. And birds are sing
ing, and flowers are blooming; blue skies,
yellow sunshine and balmy air. If 'Tis
a joy to be alive!
