Fifty-four holes in all there were, one round each on courses num bers one, two and throe, in the order given, the "Wee Burn golfer recording a brace of eighty-one's and one eighty .-igiiiiist seventy-seven, eighty-three and eighty-four for the Brookline expert. There were two prizes, also for the best net scores T. R. Palmer, whose allowance was twenty for each round, recording a net of two hundred and nineteen, one point in the lead of E. G. Chandlee who deducted thirty-six daily. I. S.Robeson's eighty-one was the best eighteen hole round (Hunter and Whittemore barred :is winners) and seventy found Dr. Carlos F. Macdonald (36), and M. D. Barlow of the Merion Cricket Club found little opposition in the annual Championship of the Silver Foils, her final match with Mrs. J. Ray mond Price of Oakmont, five up and four to play. In the semi-final Mrs. Barlow defeated Mrs. H. R. Stockton of Plain field by two and one, and in the first round Mrs. Herbert L. Jillson of Pine hurst by six and five. Mrs. Price advanced for the final on a nineteen-hole win from Miss Louise Elkins, her clubmate, who tied with a winning 6 on the eighteenth green only to lose the nineteenth to a 5. Her first win was from Mrs. E. R. Behrend of Erie by two up. H Mrs. Stockton won in the nineteenth green from Mrs. W. J. Faith of Wykagyl in the first round, and Miss Elkins was four up and two to play over Miss Sarah Evans of Swampscott. Mrs. Barlow's eighty-nine was the best qualification score, three strokes in the lead of Mrs. Faith and Miss Elkins, and six better than Mrs. Price. K. Robeson of Pawling are coming, not to mention a delegation of golfers now farther south, and the title holder, R. S. Worthington, and probably Walter J. Travis and D. Clarke Corkran. Henry C. Fownes of Oakmont, J. M. Thompson of Springhaven, W. E. Trues dell of Fox Hills, Robert Hunter of Wee Burn and I. S.
