Rob inson brought in a card of 75, composed of fifty out, fifty-one in, and a handicap of twenty-six. His nearest competitor was Parker W. Whittemore of the Brook line Country Club, that gave Carter his final battle for the St. Valentine cham pionship. Playing from scratch he fin ished in 78. Robert Hunter, the Wee Burn player who has so often figured in the finals on the Pinehurst links, was back on his game and claimed an eighty three. Any fellow who wants to follow a first class performance will be rewarded if he will watch these two when the first division goes out to war. Abbe, Bethlehem 112-23-89 Tbe Firing- line A new marksman came out of the South and lifted the trophy for the weekly trap shooting contest at the Gun Club Monday last. It was a raw and windy day, and hard on good marksmanship, as the' score reveals. The match was from 16 yards, one hundred targets, unknown angles, with handitypfl of so many targets per man. R. F. Willis from Atlanta, home of trap-shooters, was the victor with a net score of 85. His handicap was three. Parker W. Whittemore held second place shooting from scratch with 79. G. M.
