Handicaps had been awarded all round to make it even and interesting. Mrs. H. H. Van Cleef of Poughkeepsie, with 17 strokes allowance, came, home in the van, seven up on the old colonel, and first prize, beating the champion, Mrs. J. Media, Pa., 3 downj Mrs. L. E.
