The prize was a beautiful silver spoon (souvenir). The guests here entered into an indoor putting contest, the course being played from the men's writing room through the office, main hall, ladies' writing room arid finally ending, in the parlor where pillows and other articles served as bunkers and hazards along the course. The table was decorated with a large cluster of carnations, rib bons, etc., with favors in abun dance, a handsome gift at each plate. A birthday dinner party was given to Mr. H.JB.
