Six players annexed all the prosperity in sight in the form of a half dozen handsome prizes, and eighty-two others iacceded more or less gracefully to the harsh terms of a dictated peace. Two New Haven leaguers, Dr. George C. Fahey and Hugh Kennedy of the Bacebrook Club, led the big field home and won the first prizes by a margin of seven-eighths of a stroke. That is to say, the winners finished in 72, Fractions were retained when figuring the joint handicaps and the score sheet looked like a stock broker's board on a lively day. George C. Dutton and R. M. Purves of Woodland had the best gross round, finishing with a best ball of 80. Second gross honors went to Don Parker and Frank. Finney at 82. W. W. Manning and William Campbell were third at 83.
