Kennedy, the Toronto expert, on the Number Two, course, the other day, and after Chapman ha."1 sent along a fairly good drive for the 13th he took a full jigger shot for the green and holed out, the intervening distance being just about 140 yards! This is probably the first time that the par 4 thirteenth has been played in 2. Chapman didn't get an eagle on ev ery hole, in that match, but he went out in 40 and came home as follows, for a 74: 4 4 5 2 4 4 4 3 4 - 34. Some Good Matches Were played on the Number Two course, on Sunday, including several professional affairs. The crowds elect ed to follow the match in which Walter Howe and Willie Wilson fought an up hill contest against Herbert Lager blade and John Peacock and won out bv a marerin of 1 up on the home green. Emmet French, of York, had things more or less his own way in a match with George McLean, of Great Neck. French passed up a first class chance to finish in 69, and took a 71 instead. A 70 on Number 3 at Last George McLean, the Great Neck pro f essional, who has a recent victory ov er Gil Nichols to his credit, went over, Number Three on Monday last, in 35 35, 70, the best that has been done on that pesky course for a long time past Playing for the 15th, 300 yards, Mc Lean reached the green on his drive and had a reasonable putt for a 2, al though he didn't quite make it.
