Chap man tied for the lead and several others a stroke or so behind, but the Silver Foils Ringer Contest may be regarded as settled. That is to say, Mrs. Hurd leads the field by a margin of 8 strokes, at 67—sixteen holes of the Number One course played in par and the other two below par. If it were not for the very fine and solitary 2 made by Mrs. Barlow on the eighteenth, at the end of the Silver Foils champion ship tournanicnt, Mrs. Hurd’s 67 would represent the best ball of all contest ants.
