The Handicap event also decided the great race for the general average Tro phy with a win for Tracy H. Lewis of New York, over Paul Earle, the South Carolina champion and winner of the 450 target event in which Lewis finished second. Lewis broke 615 of the 650 tar gets thrown in the 450 target affair and the 200 targets in the Preliminary and Midwinter Handicap events. Earle 's to tal was 612. Harve Dixon finished third. The Preliminary Handicap, shot on Thursday, resulted in a win for T. T. Todd, of Greenwood, S C., on the shoot off of a tie, at 95, with Dr. F. J. Buz zard of Portage, Pa. Both shot from the 18-yard line.. The two shooters tied again with 23 each on the first shoot-off, and Todd won, 23 to 22, on the second attempt. Two 19-yard men, II. F.
