O'Brien and Billy O'Brien, Armstrong, age 8, winners of the age 12, who finished second in the prize for the best net score field with a net score of 94-17-77 Father and Son Tournament PINEHURST'S first Father and Son tournament, an 18-hole medal play round, was staged on Monday of last week and drew out a field of twenty-seven pairs. John D. Armstrong and John Bradford Armstrong, age 8 and the youngest member of the field, went around the course in 104, play ing alternate strokes, and won first prize for the best net score with a card of 104-35-69. Pat O'Brien and Billy, age 12, won the second pair of net score prizes with a round of 94-17-77, and John D. Chapman, of Green wich, and his side-kick, Billy, also age 12, annexed third honors with 94-16-78. The prizes for the best gross round were won by Dr. J. S. Brown and T. Russell Brown, who covered the course in 83. D. N. Winton and J. H. Winton, the Minneapolis team, came in second in this department of the tournament, with a round of 85.
