THEATRE
Marquis Preferred—Pinehurst’s favorite sophisticated star, Adolphe
Menjou, will be seen in his latest and—according to the critics—best
offering of the past several seasons. He is supported by Nora Lane and
Chester Conklin in this Paramount comedy release. Coming to the Caro
lina Theatre on Friday, February 1st, for a matinee performance only,
Ruth St. Denis and Ted Shawn and their Denishawn Dancers. Un
hesitantly, without knowing what else is to come, we herald this as the finest
and most delightful event of the season, thanking our lucky fates that
we are to be permitted again to see this unusual performance. Contrary
to our usual policy of forgetting the box office,'we suggest that you secure
your tickets early, for this is a production that no one in the Sandhills
will want to—or can afford to—miss. At the Carolina Theatre, Friday
evening, February 1st.
