THEATRE
All at Sea—Carl Dane, famous comedy star of the Big Parade, and
George K. Arthur in a hilarious Metro comedy. As the title suggests,
this comedy is a seagoing affair, though it all takes place, not on the ocean,
but in a naval training station. Dane and Arthur don the navy blue and
then proceed to declare a war of their own—with complications—on
each other.
Arthur has the role of a vaudeville hypnotist who finds himself in
trouble when he hypnotizes Dane, a hard-boiled bo’s’n’s mate, at one of his
performances in a naval station town. He seeks refuge in a navy uniform,
runs into his erstwhile victim, and then the fun begins. Their feud
is heightened when they fall in love with the same girl, Josephine Dunn,
a good-to-look-at young leading lady, who plays the girl in a lively and
romantic manner. At the Carolina Theatre, Friday, February 15th.
