point. The Rams received the
kickoff and completed three suc

downs. The Rams then missed
three passes forcing them to
punt. The Indians gained one first
down and then were forced to
punt back to the Rams who lost
the ball on a fumble after two
plays. Ahoskie ran 12 yards in
two plays for the touchdown and
set the score at 24-0,
The Rams put the ball in play
on the 20 yard line after Sharp
kicked off to the end zone. King
gained 11 yards for a first down
but Bass had to punt after three
'plays. Bass’s punt was called
back because of an offsides pen
alty and he punted again only to
have the Indians called for clip
ping and that gave the Rams a
first down. On the next play Rid

pass to end the first half at a

To start the second half the
Rams received the kickoff and
gained a first down but werethen
forced to punt to the Indians.
Ahoskie began another touch
down drive sparked by a 15 yard
run and a 40 yard pass. Sharp

CONWAY—The Rams lost their
second home game last Friday
night against the Ahoskie Indi
ans, 56-6.
The Rams began the game by
kicking off to the Indians and
holding them until they punted.
The Rams followed with a punt
after three plays and no gain of
yardage. Ahoskie came back with
good running and drove all the
way for the first touchdown of the
game. Clyde Carroll broke
through the Indian line and block
ed the attempted kick for the ex
tra point. NCHS received the
kickoff and made good rushing
yardage gaining one first down
but not two therefore having to
punt before the first quarter end

Ahoskie began the second
quarter with a 50yardpass which
was called back because of a

basketball exhibition featuring
the personal appearance of Rod
Hundley, former West Virginia
University and All-America Star
will be held at T. N. Davis Rec
reation Center here on Wednes
day night, October 20 at 7:30
p.m.
The purpose of the exhibition
is to promote more interest in
basketball-to simplify teaching
methods so that younger players,
as well as seasoned veterans, can
derive the most out of the game.
Hundley, asix-yearplayerwith
the Los Angeles Lakers and two-
time member of NBA All-Star
Teams, will demonstrate and
explain basketball in detail, as
well as passing, dribbling, pivot
ing, offense and defense. He will
also give a discourse on rules
and answer questions on rule
interpretations.
As part of the exhibition, sound
movies of the season’s major
championship basketball games
will be shown.
Area coaches are urged to
bring all their basketball players
to the exhibition, being sponsored
by L. Kittner Department Store
of Weldon.
