Inasmuch as the 22 of Februa ry will be a National Holiday, be ing Washington's birth day, I re spectfully suggest that suitable exo/cise* be held in * every school in the county. If yob can’t get up a suitable program let the children in reference to the char acter of Washington as a citizen, a military chieftain and statesman. The 22nd will fall on Saturday*, so we will say, olieerve Friday, the [ 21st. On the Saturday previous, the 16th of Feb., I hope the teachers and children of all the school* will assemble at their respective school houses, (carrying dinner as on school days,) and clean off the grounds, trim trees, plant trees and flowers, and beautify the ground* in every possible way.
