RECOUNT OF FIVE COUNTY BOXES
Recount of 10 boxes was printed July 14th
In the Post-Dispatch of July 14 h, 1938, was given the resultsrof
the recount' of the other 1 ) boxes of Richmond county. The
Hamlet Nos. 1 and 2, Midway and Cordova boxes were re
counted July 15th, and the Rohanen box July 16th. The
following are the change and results from the recount of
those boxes:

THE PUBLIC'S response to the adoption of
a Code of Practice by the members of the
Brewers Foundation was prompt and
favorable.
Newspapers, social service groups. and
thousands of individuals expressed great
satisfaction with the brewers deteirxnination
to conduct their business in accord with the
desires and conscience of the American public.
The Code pledges the brewers publicly to
"suDport the duly constituted authorities in
theelimination of anti-social conditions
wherever they may surround the sale of
beer to the consumer."
How far we can go, and how soon, de
pends very much on ourselves . . . but partly
also on you.
Public opinion once aroused, can operate
to bring about honest enforcement of existing
laws. Restriction of your patronage only to
legal, respectable retail outlets can and will
operate to raise retailing standards.
