JULY 1st 1905 JAN. 15th 1940 ROCKINGHAM'S OLDEST Drug Store CONGRATULATES TP! ...he Little 1 eatre ON THE COMPLETION OF IT'S NEW AND MODERN HOME. ml DRUG PHONE 20 STOKE i The interior of the new Lit tle theatre, which is finished almost entirely with Celotex boarding, is cream colored trimmed in light tan. The walls and ceiling are finished in cream with the bot tom and top border along the walls trimmed in tan. The front of the building, which is very simple, yet attractive, is finished with black and red glass at the bottom and at. the top is stucco cement. The marque extends to the sidewalk and is in various col ors. On each side of the box of fice, which is also finished in black glass with a red border, is located an office, one of which will be occupied by Manager W. H. Eubanks. To get on the inside of the theatre you pass through two sets of doors, one of the ordi nary glass type and the other of the sound-proof variety and are solid throughout. In between the doors is locat ed the foyer and also the en trance to one of the offices. The entrance to the other of fice is from the front of the building on the left hand side of the box office. The offices and foyer are finished with white plaster. Just inside the theatre on the left is situated two sanitary rest rooms, and on the right is the theatre supply room and the stairs leading to the pro jection room. The first thing that meets the person's eye when they get on the side of the theatre is the elegant colors of the walls and ceiling cream and tan. They go well together. The elevaton from the stage to the rear of the seats is 42 inches. There are two aisles and one leads to an exit door, both of which can easily be opened in case of emergency. There are three sections of seats two on each side with four seats to the row and. one in the middle with seven' seats to the row. The rugs are so thick that a half iiich' drop had to: be left when the cement was poured to take care of their thickness. All in all, the theatre is nifty, and one that any town should rightly be proud of. When you think of it, there are few towns many times the size of Rockingham that can boast of three such theatres. And then there's the one at the mills and then two at Hamlet, mak ing a total of six within e radius of six miles. Plenty of pictures to choose from. Tyson out of Hospital At 8:15 a. m. Dec. 24th, the car in which Henry Tyson, of Pee Dee No. 2, was riding to Laurel Hill, met with an acci dent in passing an oil truck, and his nose was broken and other cuts received.
