LP D 1 cN cN Was Baptist Preacher at Roberdel, now Married. Rev. John M. Barbee, of Charlotte and Roberdel, and Miss Eunice Marcella Lien of Minneapolis, were married at 5 p. m. June 7th in the garden of i the City Temple Baptist church at Knoxville, Tennessee. Rey. Ed G. Caldwell officiat ed. Mrs. John Herrman, pian ist, presented the nuptial music and Miss Colleen Ingram sang "Because" and "I Love Thee." Rev. J. R. Faulkner of Ross ville, Ga., was the bridegroom's best man. Ushers were Rev. Charles Kirkley of Glen Burnie, Md., Rev. Guy Helms of Char lotte, and Wallace Ellis of Rae f ord. . The bride, who was given 'in marriage by Dr. John Herman of Bob Jones college, wore a wedding gown of white lace and net fashioned with a sweetheart neck, long sleeves and a full skirt trimmed with a ruffle a round the hem. The finger-tip veil of tulle was worn with a bonnet of pleated illusion and she carried a bouquet of gar denias. Miss Nellie Hess of Minnea polis, Minn., was the maid of honor and she wore a crown of I blue net and taffeta. Brides I maids were Miss Virginia Swan- ingson of Minneapolis; Minn., Miss Peggy Parmer of Omaha, Neb., and Miss Charis Stewart of Atlanta, Ga. They wore dresses of pink net and taffeta. The four attendants w o re- matching halo headdresses and carried baskets filled with roses and white flowers. Mrs. Lien, mother of the bride, wore a blue and white crepe dress with white acces sories and a shoulder bouquet of gardenias. Mrs. Barbee, the bridegroom's mother, wore a wthite mesh dress with black ac cessories and a shoulder bou quet of gardenias. Immediately after the cere mony a reception was held at the home of Mrs. Lee T. Cassa- dy of Fountain City, Tenn. La ter the couple left on a wedding -trip to Gatlinburg, Tenn., after which they will make their home in Charlotte. Mrs. Barbee is the daughter of Mrs. Marie Lien of Minnea polis, Minn., and received her B. A. degree in music from Bob Jones college at Cleveland, Tenn. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John F. Barbee of Charlotte. He was graduated from Central High school , Bob Jones college at Cleveland, Tenn., and received his M. A. degree in philosophy from Duke university May 23. Among the out-of-town guests at the wedding were Mr. and Mrs. John F. Barbee and son, E. H.
