The -i following v editorial from the" Lumberton Robersonian tells how tha town handles part of its parking meter problems: "We've been all over the state, and have 'never seen a town where overtime parking is handled as nicely as it is here." That compliment to the City of Lumberton and. its police de partment was paid this week; by a representative of the Sou thern Bell Telephone, Company, S. M. Davis of Charlotte, work ing here with a five-man crew preparing new telephone direc tories. With many personal calls to make on businesshouses, the directory workers frequently use metered parking places. Like most othe persons who park cars, they sometimes overstay the time their coins have paid for: In some other towns, they have had to go out to the streets some times leaving an office in the middle Of an interview, to depo sit another coin. Actually boosts power up to , 15, spark plug life tip tp 150, by counteracting the deposits on spark plugs and in combustion chambers. . Though you may not realize it, the chances are that your engine is delivering far less than its original horsepower. This is because, in the average engine, deposits constantly build up on spark plugs and in combustion chambers. These de posits actually "short-circuit' your spark z plugs causing them to misfire. They may also cause pre-ignition- of the combustion mixture resulting in severe knock. This is especially true when accelerating, climb ing hills, or driving on the open highway. This condition exists in the majority of cars on the road today. To overcome this condition, Shell Re search discovered a fuel additive, TCP. Blended into Shell Premium Gasoline, TCP stops the short-circuiting effects of the de posits on spark plugs and controls pre- Patent applied for igmtion of the combustion mixture. This means, for the average motorist, a power boost of up to 15, an increase in spark plug life of up to 150, plus, an increase in gasoline mileage iShell Premium with TCP is the most portant advance in gasoline since the covery of tetraetjiyl lead in 1922. lm dis So in Shell Premium ' with TCP.quick to act rapidly does Shell Premium with TCP counteract the deposits on spark plugs and cbmbustion chambers that you'll feel your engine's had a tune-up before you've finished ths second tankful.
