A convention of the Democratic party of Richmond county is called to meet at Rockingham on Wednes day, the 12th day of September next, to nominate candidates for House of Representatives and for the va nous countv omces to be failed at the general election to be held in Nov., and to appoint delegates to a Senatorial Convention of the 26th Senatorial District to be held at a time and place to be hereafter fixed The Democratic voters of thecoun ty are requested to meet in conven tion at their respective voting places in each township on Saturday, the 8th day of September, at 6 o clock p. m., for the purpose of electing their delegates to the County Convention and this committee recommends that such election be by ballot, though the manner of election shall be in the discretion of the voters. It is desirable, and this committee urges upon, all Democrats in the county to "attend their respective township conventions so as to secure a full, free and fair expression opinion, n D.
