Mr. Little spoke for a short while on the close relation- and nut that the Chinese people looked to the United States for help, more so than to any other nation. Mr. Little then spoke of the great work that was being accomplish ed by Laymen Convention's and urged all that possibly could to attend the approaching conven tion in Charlotte. It is quite certain that Mr. Morton and two others will attend the Charlotte Convention. After Mr. Little's address, refreshments consisting of pickles, crackers, chicken salad and coffee, were served by Mrs. II. F. Morton, Mrs. Job Taylor and Mrs. V. F. Horner. We feel quite confident that all who attended this rather unique entertainment were great ly benefited thereby, and join us in extending to Mr. Morton a vote of thanks for such a pleas ant and profitable evening.
