Hereafter, upon the death of any person in tin-Slate, the under taker or person acting as such w ill be obliged to die a death eor tii'ux.'f with the local registrar in exi 'nanf for a burial permit within seventy-two hours after deat i or before the burial of the body. Heretofore, in the country, ten days were allowed for tiling such death certificates after the burial of the body. As a result a lar.ro portion of the deaths in the country were forgotten, over looked and unrecorded, and our vital statistics, particularly for rural districts, are of very little value and in many cases worth less and even misleading.
