F. Beck- with, D. L Leslie, and L. S. Mosher, gave a beautiful pageant illustrating the w ork that the Home Mission is doing in the mountains of North Carolina and Tennesee. There were several responsiye readings by the audi- enee followed by recitations by - different members of the Sunday School after which the play was given, the theme being to show the spiritual and - educational work done in the mountains. The scene was laid in the plain log cabin home of the mountains the principal characters being the father; whose part was taken by Loyd Crews, daughter; Mary Traynham Wyche, grandmother, Nellie Jones; brother. Max Ad cock; little sister, Mamie Sher ffield, who shows what can be done in a solo with chorus, giv ing a very appropriate ending to the pageant Each member did their parts splendidly. The scenery which was very pretty was gotten up by Rev. Stanley White, L. S. Mosher and J. T. Chase.
