Extra help was called in at hot Rosemary and Roanoke Rapids and everything possible was done not to delay unduly the applicants for registration, but some delay was unavoidable. The registration figures for Roanoke Rapids were 281 white and 65 colored, making a total of 346, Rosemary registered 256 whit and 100 colored, making a total of 356, or 702 for the en tire Township. On the basis of this registra tion, It is estimated that Rose mary will be called on to furnish 44 men for the first increment of 625,000 men and Roanoke Rapids will have to furnish 43 snea.
